Linux 2003 Conference and Tutorials Thurs 31st July - Sun 3rd August 2003 Edinburgh, Scotland |
Jon 'maddog' Hall - Linux InternationalExtreme Linux Programming - A ContinuumMost people think of programming a supercomputer or an embedded system as a specialized type of programming. Likewise applications that can take advantage of a supercomputer are rare. This talk will try to demonstrate that programming of everything from a PDA to a supercomputer is in reality a continuum, and how we, as a community, can help to encourage more efficient programming to take advantage of workstation farms, Beowulf systems, NUMA machines and the Grid. |
